SEDRIS Focus version 4.1.4.0 --------------------------------- This free tool is used to examine, edit, and correct STF transmittals. Focus can also run other SEDRIS-based tools, such as Depth, Model Viewer, Rules Checker, Syntax Checker and SEE-IT, as well as read their error reports. This version of Focus is compatible with SEDRIS 4.1.x version transmittals. Requirements: ------------- Focus requires a JRE (Java Runtime Environment), version 1.4.2 or later, installed and set-up prior to its use. The Windows version of Focus includes the JRE in the installation package. If you already have the JRE installed on your system, you can unselect it from the Focus installation options. You can also download the JRE from Sun's website http://java.sun.com/j2se. Follow the download and installation instructions on their site. To run Focus: ------------- To install, extract the contents of the compressed file: Unix: To install Focus, extract the contents of the compressed file downloaded from the SEDRIS Tools website. Use the "tar" and "gzip" commands to extract the application substituting "focus_file.tar.gz" for the appropriate filename: unzip -c focus_file.tar.gz | tar xf - If you have the latest GNU tar installed, you can use the following command instead: tar xzf focus_file.tgz To run Focus, open a terminal then change directories into the newly created Focus directory. Type "run_focus" to start the application. Win32: To install Focus, run the focus setup.exe downloaded from the SEDRIS Tools website. To use Focus, run the application from the Start Menu or by accessing the Focus.exe from the install directory.
