DESCRIPTION
This free tool converts ESRI Shape files to STF transmittals.
RELEASE INFORMATION
This tool is compliant with the 4.1.1 release of SEDRIS technologies.
The application is linked statically, and additional documentation is
included in the download. You do not need to download or install the SEDRIS
SDK to use this tool.
FEATURES
- Reads a transmittal
definition file, where the user specifies:
- absolute path
to a directory containing shapefiles,
- spatial
reference frame information,
- the values of
various required transmittal-level metadata elements, such as the Citation,
Security Constraints, and Responsible Party, and
- optionally, the
area of interest.
- If an area of
interest is specified, only those features that are at least partially within
that area of interest are processed.
- For each unique
classification, creates a Union of Features object containing
shapefile features.
- Determines if
feature attributes are FACC or non-FACC.
- Translates FACC
feature codes to corresponding EDCS Classification Codes.
- Creates Property
Value objects for each feature attribute.
- Translates FACC
attribute codes to corresponding EDCS Attribute Codes.
- SEDRIS 4.1.1 command line application with Java

LIMITATIONS
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Hardware
- Recommended minimum CPU speed for Intel based machines
is 500 MHz.
- Recommended minimum RAM for all supported platforms
is 128 MB.
- Minimum disk space required is 100 MB.
Software
- Operating Systems Supported:
- Software Requirements: Java 1.3 or later runtime
environment required for Java GUI
