Fact Sheet: STF Converter - 4.0.x to 4.1.x

Quick Scroll To:

DESCRIPTION

This free tool converts a 4.0.x SEDRIS transmittal to a 4.1.x SEDRIS transmittal.

USAGE

Command

          stf_convert [options] -t <source> -f <destination>

Options

          -o <file> : log file
          -u <nn> : object update count
-v : verbose error and warning output
          -h : show help

The converter does not 'fix' invalid transmittals. If a transmittal fails Syntax Checker or Rules Checker, the converted transmittal is likely to produce similar errors or to be missing the failing objects altogether.

Errors and warnings are displayed to the screen, or to a log file if the "-o" option is used. The default behavior for error messages is to print only the first message of a given type and then display a total count for each type of error or warning encountered. To print out all errors and warnings in detail, use the "-v" option.

If a transmittal contains Inter-Transmittal References (ITR), the same URNs and object labels from the original transmittal are used. Hence, a new URN resolver file (either "sedris.rsl" or "<transmittal_name>.rsl") must be created that maps the new version URNs to the converted transmittals.

The current version is 4.1.4.0, and is compatible with SEDRIS SDK 4.1.x.
